Empathy Introductory Weekend / Introduction to Appreciative Communication
November 2 and 3, 2019
The attitude with which we communicate defines the quality of our relationships - whether at home or at the workplace. How we speak and how we hear others influences whether and how we build trust and how we resolve conflicts. By communicating appreciatively, we bring strength, empathy and authenticity into each of our encounters, including those with ourselves.
In the introductory weekends we train an inner attitude that is appreciative and empathetic. Through Appreciative Communication we create a space where empathy meets vulnerability, opening a new link to ourselves and others. You will learn how it feels to be truly heard and how to listen attentively and empathetically. You will learn how to get in touch with your feelings and needs and how to use conflicts to get to know yourself better. We practice how you can express needs in the form of requests that increase their likelihood of being fulfilled. And it's always about self-care and consensus.
We work with only a few theoretical inputs. Our focus is on trying out and experiencing for yourself in a hands-on setting. We offer a safe, humorous and empathetic atmosphere as well as space for questions and feedback.
